This is a new edition of Stalin and Khrushchev: The USSR 1924-64 . It has been revised and retitled to reflect the needs of the current specifications and provides a narrative and analysis of the Bolshevik consolidation of power under Lenin and Stalin's rise to power. It then examines Stalin's leadership, his restructuring of the Soviet economy, his foreign policies and what life was like in Stalinist Russia. Throughout the book key dates, terms and issues are highlighted, and historical interpretations of key debates are outlined.
