Hydrology and Hydraulic Systems

This text treats quantitative elements involved in the development of water resources, covering hydrology theory, applications, and designs. Subject matter is developed in the sequence in which water resources development activities progress on an actual project. This second edition is revised to reflect advances in the field since 1995. There are new chapters on monitoring of groundwater, kinematic hydrology, and contaminant hydrology. Material has been expanded in areas including evapotranspiration, the design and water supply projects, and the theory of leaky aquifers. The text is broad enough to be used in courses on hydrology, hydrologic systems, and water resources management. Many solved example and chapter problems are included.
