Otis Ferguson (1907-1943) wrote for The New Republic from 1930 until his death; he also contributed to more than a dozen other periodicals. He was killed by a German bomb in the Gulf of Salemo. This book contains all of his writings about music and musicians; a selected of his writings on radio, theater, movies, books, and writers; and his autobiographical writings, including some extraordinary accounts of his sea voyages.
