It contains photographs of momentous historical events like the Yalta Conference, the liberation of the concentration camps, the Atomic Test programme and the beginnings of the Space Race; the dominant political figures of the era - Roosevelt, Churchill and Stalin; and contemporary icons such as Marilyn Monroe, Brigitte Bardot, Audrey Hepburn and Joe Di Maggio.
