This is a brand new retelling of Homer's Odyssey , the story of a clever but unlucky Greek hero who just wants to get home...but fate has other ideas. It is a new title in Young Reading Series Three , part of the Usborne Reading Programme. It is aimed at fully confident readers who can manage sub-plots and complex sentence structure but don't have the stamina for standard-length books. It is developed in consultation with Alison Kelly, who is a Principal Lecturer in Education and an early reading specialist from Roehampton University.
