A Christmas Carol , first published in 1843, was an instant success and has become an enduring classic work, enjoyed throughout the world. Now this facsimile of Dickens' original handwritten manuscript - complete with crossings out and amendments - is available, 150 years after publication. The book reproduces the pages of manuscript with the typeset version on the opposite page, and also features reproductions of the original illustrations by John Leech - five of which are in colour.
