Dentofacial Deformities: Surgical-orthodontic Correction

This text covers: diagnosis, treatment planning and advanced surgical techniques for the care of class III dentofacial deformities, class I malocclusions, transverse maxillary and/or mandibular discrepancies, and bimaxillary dentoalveolar protrusion. Critical surgical steps are described by narrative and anatomically correct illustrations. Each chapter is written with a sequential approach to pre-surgical orthodontic treatment, immediate pre-surgical planning, surgical techniques and post-surgical orthodontic treatment. There is also coverage of cosmetic procedures to refine the aesthetic results following orthognathic surgery. In addition, the results of each approach are illustrated by an example patient.
