Nowhere in Europe is there a capital city as tragically afflicted by history as the one lying close to the continent's heart, the Polish capital of Warsaw. This book presents the fate of the city in the twentieth centurya dynamically developed capital city in the beginning of the 20th century, almost completely destroyed during World War II and a modern rebuilt European metropolis.
