James Your Brother: Studies in the Epistle of James

These devotional studies in the Epistle of James are the result of a twofold desire in the writer's heart. First, the author had been looking forward for some time to a closer study of this little book for personal spiritual profit and growth in grace. As a minister of Gods Word, he always anticipated passing on to others those lessons learned. Secondly, for some time he had had a growing conviction that this epistle has been greatly neglected. The theme of this epistle throughout is an extremely practical one, dealing with truth applied and heavenly wisdom resulting in a holy walk. James sounds the much needed and much neglected note which demands conduct conformable to creed, behavior commensurate with belief, and deportment compatible with doctrine. In substance James is appealing for reality in religion. It is the authors hope that these studies will perhaps make a contribution to the spiritual growth of some, or maybe awaken in others an interest in a portion of Gods Word that has passed into near-oblivion.
