American Courts (Coursebook)

This text describes the state judicial systems and the federal judicial system. It continues to be written primarily for beginning law students who will acquire more detailed knowledge of the topics covered here and for persons from other countries with legal backgrounds who want an introduction to American courts. This new edition reflects the changes in case management procedures, court personnel, and, in a few instances, state court structure that have been made to deal with the changes in types and numbers of cases being filed with the courts.
