Historical Foundations of Education: Bridges from the Ancient World to the Present

This book discusses education in the social, economic, political and religious context in which it developed, beginning with education in the time of the ancient Greeks. The focus on bridges , or connections from past to present, is emphasized throughout. Connections are clearly explained in each chapter.
