Twenty-seven experiments contributed by twenty-three specialists cover the areas of measurement and analysis of sound, vibrations, musical acoustics, transducers, room acoustics, underwater acoustics, and audiometry and masking. These experiments will be useful and interesting not only for science departments --such as engineering and physics-- but also for nonscience departments -- such as speech and hearing, music, psychology, and architecture.
